I used to wear polarized sunglasses to golf, but I noticed it was difficult to track the ball in flight. I switched to non-polarized ever since. Biggest problem after that switch was when I played in the late afternoon Or overcast days, it seemed too dark. This did the trick. In bright sunny days these becomes dark enough that my eyes are comfortable and not squinting. Then when it get towards dusk it’s also just right. Great pair
Good fit. React well in Autumn light, low sun, varying weather,, very pleased with product. Only used so far for Road cycling.
Great pair of glasses, I mostly use for running, have yet to use for cycling. Bear in mind if you're used to designer glasses they won't immediately protect your eyes, takes a while to build up.

I don't write many reviews, but this product is a great value for the money. I wanted sunglasses that would not block my vision down the road, and these are great. It feels like there is nothing there. I used to change the lenses in my glasses based on the lighting, but the pair I bought is photoreactive, so they darken as needed. The only downside is that they need to be cleaned before each ride, but I suspect that is the same with any sunglasses like this.

I am very happy with my purchase of the Tifosi Clarion Fototec glasses. I use them for road cycling in mid-Wales, UK. They fit great, are very light, and stay in place with no slippage down the nose. They marry well with my POC helmet and are easily stored in the vents when removed (but upside down). They feel like they can take some abuse. The Fototec lense is superb in all light conditions I have encountered, cutting all glare without compromising on visual clarity. I have not had issues with fogging. I love the style. I think they punch above their weight for quality and value, so I highly recommend them.
So I’ve used these glasses 5 times now. They are really comfortable and hardly feel like you have them on.I got them for low light use in the UK and I haven’t had the chance to use them in really sunny conditions but they darken up quick enough and give me plenty of protection. The clarity is amazing, I can see so well with these. Unfortunately it doesn’t seem that they are very scratch resistant as after my third ride I found a scratch on the left side of the lens! Thankfully it isn’t obstructing my viewI knocked a point off for the scratch, otherwise they would have had 5 points.
These glasses were too tight on the side of my head and was causing a lot pressure after a couple minutes of wear. Overall the they seem like quality glasses but too small for my face.
Useful for cycling
I needed a lighter color lens than my Oakley grey prism for early morning cycling in CO, but didn't want to carry 2 pairs for when it got brighter so I went red phototec (photochromic). I have so many different sunglasses and use cases that I didn't want to shell out on a high-end option.These are incredible for the money, and have a great range from very light to moderately dark. They adjust quickly and have massive coverage, but good enough airflow that they don't fog after a hard climb, which is a problem I've had with my Oakleys. They look good too! Lens quality is pretty good, maybe not quite as good as Oakleys. Frame and arms feel a bit cheaper too.I now use them for most things where it isn't super bright, especially biking, hiking and hunting. I may get other pairs in other colors for various uses given the solid price point. Note I haven't used them much for driving, but when I put them on usually reach for another pair so they might not be the best there.

Super comfort, lightweight, clarity, sun rays protection. Style and color are very favorable to me.
Covers the face well with little to no obstructive views. I don't think the tint changes well going from dark to light but it's fine for what I need it for. Overall...good pair.
I don't normally write reviews, but I felt these sunglasses warranted one. I bought these glasses for cycling because I lost my Oakley Jawbreakers with prism lenses, and I did not want to spend $200+ on another pair. I still didn't want to sacrifice quality for price, and I learned about the Tifosi Rails on Clint Gibbs cycling youtube channel. I purchased the photochromatic version which I absolutely love because I don't need to change lenses or remove my glasses when the light starts to fade (they work great).I have ridden them a handful of times in sunny 75 degree weather with 50% humidity in Florida. Here are my thoughts:1. Airflow: Excellent airflow. It feels like the air just goes around the glasses to the point where it feels like I don't have them on. This is my first time using frameless glasses, and I think that has something to do with it along with the curve of the lens. The airflow is 100% better than my jaw breakers. I don't come back from a ride with my glasses covered in salt stains, they are just as clear as when I left. I have never had a pair of glasses where this is the case. Amazing.2. Lens Quality: They are very clear. I can not tell a difference between my old prism lenses and these. Can't comment on the longevity of them at this time, but out of the box it would seem spending 200+ for some Oakley's is a waste of money. I imagine as long as I take care of them they will last a long time. Of note, when I purchases these glasses I had read some reviews about glare, I did not find this to be the case in the lighting conditions I have ridden in.3. Arms: This is my only slight con. For my head shape, and the helmet I am using on my road bike they come in contact with the head brace in the back. For the majority of my ride its fine, but sometimes if I move a certain way it will bump my glasses forward slightly. Not so much that it is terribly annoying, but I think if they shortened the arms a bit it would be an improvement. With all that being said, I haven't had a pair of sunglasses I ride with yet that doesn't do this.4. Quality: In my opinion they feel like better quality than my Jaw Breakers. Jaw Breakers have very cheap feeling plastic. The plastic and rubber used on the Rails feels about as good a quality you can get for plastic.5. Price: At 80 bucks, you can't beat the price for a quality pair of sunglasses. I now realize that all these companies like Oakley, Costa, Rayban (I have owned all these), etc are royally ripping people off which can mostly be attributed to brand recognition and marketing. $80 is a fair price to me for quality glasses.Lastly, I compared these to my Jaw Breakers because those were the most expensive cycling glasses I have ever owned. I wouldn't have replaced them if I didn't lose them, but my aperture has been opened up showing that you can still get good cycling glasses that don't completely break the bank.
I liked the way the Rail glasses looked and fit on their own. Unfortunately the arms extended too far beyond my ear so that they interfered with my Lazer Jackal Kinetic helmet. The Sledge Light model ended up working perfectly. The CLARION RED PHOTOCHROMIC LENS doesn't darken substantially but if great for all light conditions I encounter when cycling in Colorado, i.e. in and out of trees or long stretches in direct sunlight.
I REALLY wanted to love these glasses. The fit and finish is absolutely top notch... you'll find nothing better or more comfortable through any high-end sunglass maker. The deal killer is the optics. The photochromatic lens is not sharp, has an insane amount of artifacts/ghosting in bright sunlight and the change between clear/tint is minimal. Tifosi came SO close to knocking this one out of the park but the poor optics are inexcusable at this price point. I'll be returning these....
First off, they are photo sensitive and that's nice for me for driving. Second they cover the face pretty completely, also a plus for me. However, the basic lens tint is gray, not amber or even red as the name and photo indicate which would be my preference for drivers. The mirror coating is not nearly as dense or as red as the photo shows, it's more of a pale reddish gold. IMHO not really worth the $79 over a non-mirrored photo gray lens at half the price, but I already had them and they fit well, so decided done was better than perfect.
